1. ASSISTANT FINANCE MANAGER (Location: Kuala Lumpur)
As our Assistant Finance Manager, you will assist the Regional Director with administrative and financial tasks, including invoicing, budget drafting, issuing purchase orders, and implementing and managing procurement processes. They are also responsible for writing monthly financial reports and filing the company’s taxes.
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and other relevant financial metrics.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide insights to support decision making and strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, guidelines, and regulations across all office locations.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in coordination with relevant departments.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis report to management.
- Identify potential risks or deviations from budgeted targets and recommend corrective actions.
3. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation and collections.
- Coordinate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve payment and invoicing issues.
4. Financial Operations:
- Assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, including forecast cash requirement and optimize cash balances across all offices.
- Monitor and ensure all transactions in the bank and petty cash are handles accurately and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate and up to date financial records and documentation.
5. Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay updated on tax regulations, accounting standards, and financial reporting requirements across all office locations.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation and submission of tax returns to relevant authorities.
- Provide support for external audits and internal control assessments, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
6. Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data exchange and provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Assist in developing and mentoring finance and billing team members.
7. Systems, Tools, and Processes improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation with the finance and billing department.
- Assist in establishing and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the finance and billing department.
- Streamline financial systems, tools, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- ACCA qualified or equivalent is preferred.
- Possessing over 5 years of professional experience in a senior capacity within the field of Accounting and Finance.
- Possess strong knowledge for people management and stakeholder skills.
- A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations and requirements.
- Familiarity with Malaysian income tax would be a beneficial asset.
- Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- The ability to work under pressure, independently and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial planning and presentation software such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good report-writing and communication skills.
- Able to start work in short notice would be an advantage.
2. PATENT EXECUTIVE (Mechanical / Manufacturing / Automotive / Marine Engineering)
Our Patent Executive will participate in the drafting of patent applications in collaboration with patent agents recognized for their expertise in their fields (engineering, science, etc.). You will play a key role in obtaining patents for our local and international clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the prosecution of patent applications and draft submissions / arguments in response to patent office actions.
- Conduct search and analysis of patent-related documents.
- Draft patent application specifications.
- Provide consultancy services to clients, write articles, and give talks on IP-related matters.
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Automotive/Marine Engineering or other related degree with above-average academic results.
- Preferably 1-3 years’ experience in the field of Intellectual Property. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Excellent command of English. Mandarin literacy will be an added advantage.
- Have a mind for understanding inventions and have good conceptual, analytical and reasoning skills.
- Proficient in use of computer-aided drawing software.
- Able to articulate points in a clear and unambiguous manner.
- Attentive to minute details.
- Possess excellent work ethics and good interpersonal skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.

3. SALES EXECUTIVE (Location: Penang)
We are looking for an ambitious and trustworthy Sales Executive to help us build up our business activities. As our Sales Executive, your responsibilities include discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and maintaining customer satisfaction. If you have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable reaching out to potential customers to demonstrate our services and products through email and phone, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, you’ll help us meet and surpass business expectations and contribute to our company’s rapid and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
- The key point of contact between KASS and its potential clients: contacting potential leads, building rapport, evaluating needs, answering queries, offering solutions, introducing services, and discussing pricing/promotions.
- Responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Consistently push to achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Focus Northern Region:
- Attending trade exhibitions, conferences, networking events, and meetings when required (locally and internationally).
- To work with Sales Manager to ensure systems and templates are created to increase the productivity and efficacy of the Sales Department.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics or related field.
- Must be fluent in English, and Mandarin speaking (to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients).
- Work location: Penang, preferably someone from the Northern Region states from Penang, Kedah, Perak.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, a basic understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
- Persistent and committed to excellent customer service.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
- Fast learner and able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
